I've been playing WoW for over 2 years but I'm not a very "social" player. That is to say, I like to quest by myself. I tend to run around by my lonesome, oblivious to the rest of you PEOPLE. You know who you are! You losers who actually join fellow players and enjoy the camaraderie of group quests and instances. You sad, sad individuals (HA! "INDIVIDUALS"...WHAT A JOKE!!) who constantly TALK with one another over chat and INTERACT while playing WoW! YOU MAKE ME SICK!!
Uh...wait a minute. I'm sorry. Got a little emotional there. That was uncalled for. Forgive me. It's just...it's just that I'm SO LONELY! I...I just have a hard time COMMITTING to any ONE PERSON in this crazy world (of Warcraft) much less a WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE. I'm pathetic!
When someone whispers "Dude! Wanna run ramps?" I'm like, "Uh...sry dude...gonna log in a few".
EXAMPLE:
him: "RUN KARA W/US? NEED A HEALER"
me: "I would LOL! Gotta go to bed!"
him: "IT'S LIKE 3PM DUDE!"
me: "Uh...I'm in Australia! Yeah...Australia! G'day! Shrimps and Barbie dolls! Cippers and scones!!"
him: "DUDE! WE'RE IN THE SAME GUILD!! YOU LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA!"
me: "Uh...can't copy you MATE...bad connection!"
him: "DUDE! WE'RE NOT ON VENT! YOU'RE TYPING!!"
me: [pull computer power cord]
I'm sorry. I..I guess I'm afraid of being hurt. Or wiped. And I would absolutely DIE if a surly Gnome began yelling at me, "Hey DUMB ASS!! You got us all killed!! What's your problem?!! WHAT ARE YA? A FULL TIME SOLOER!!?? JERK!!!"
WAIT!!! I AM STRONGER THAN THAT!!! I've been reevaluating my place in this world (of Warcraft)! I know I can change!! I'm a MAN damnit!! And I've been watching "Celebrity Intervention"!! Right here and now, I pledge to all of you, my fellow Allakhazmers and WoWers, that I will try...NO! I will DEFINITELY try to be a more social player!! I will say, "Sure, I'll run ZF with you little feller!" or "HELZ YEAH!! I do want to run Kara w/ my homies, uh...dog!"
My comrades (those of you who have made it this far in the post without hurling). "Why the change?" you ask? Well, it's just I realize that I'm not getting any younger (although, my toon still has a well-toned, masculine ass) and I don't wanna be alone when I go to Northrend. Did I mention that I'm....(gulp!sniff!)...I'm so LONELY!
THAT and I'm freaking tired of seeing crappy blues and greens on my level 70s. I know! I know! "DUDE! You can always PVP and farm honor!!" Just for the record, I PVP like a one-armed orangutan with cerebral palsy. That's the subject for a WHOLE other rant, mi amigos.
Whew! I feel...better! PURGED, if you will. Thanks for letting me open up with you guys! Well, I gotta go play for a while. Those three group quests in Zangamarsh are nice and green now! I should be able to handle them by myself with no problemo!! YAY!! Uh, yeah. We'll do Kara. Next Wednesday. I promise!
